Thank you for taking the time to contact me. I appreciate hearing from you.
President Donald J. Trump inherited a disaster at the southern border that was created by former-President Joe Biden’s failed policies. Over the last four years, millions of illegal immigrants entered the United States, including those with pre-existing criminal records. President Trump invoked executive authority under the Alien Enemies Act to expeditiously remove certain individuals alleged to have terror or criminal records to El Salvador and partner nations for confinement.
I strongly believe that those with criminal records involving gang and terrorist affiliations should be swiftly removed from the United States. I also believe it is critically important that these decisions are made carefully and are consistent with the law. Furthermore, it is important to ensure the individuals being removed are in fact affiliated with a gang or designated terrorist group.
There is currently litigation in federal court to review the removals made under the Alien Enemies Act, and I am very closely monitoring this litigation. Please know that if this issue come before the Senate Judiciary Committee or the full Senate, I will keep your views in mind.

Dear Senator Tillis,
Please stop telling your constituents that the current administration inherited a “disaster at the southern border that was created by” President Biden. You know very well that your statement is false. Biden continued most of Trump 1.0’s policies regarding immigration at the southern border, only reversing some of the most inhumane practices. You are pandering to racists and fearful people, whose fear has been manufactured by Fox and other extreme right-wing propagandists.
You have a duty to protect the human rights of asylum seekers and everyone else who interacts with the United States, in accordance with the Constitution and the law.
Mr. Trump demonstrates daily that he is unfit for the office he holds. He defies the law and judicial orders. His deportation sweeps have caught many innocent, law-abiding members of our society, without affording them due process under the law. What are you doing to stop these abuses?
Clearly the norms we Americans thought would protect us are inadequate to control Felon Trump as he seeks unchecked power. Our Constitution should be amended to prevent convicted felons from holding the highest office, but before we can consider that, we must REMOVE TRUMP FROM OFFICE ASAP.
We must also STOP DOGE and REMOVE ELON MUSK from government, for his efforts to buy votes, to interfere with free elections, and to defraud and profit from the American public. Musk’s conflicts of interest are clear, and you have a duty to bring all his actions into the light and to conduct public hearings of his malfeasance.
Remember your oath to the Constitution, sir, and act accordingly.
