My usual message to you would be to implore you show compassion for the poor North Carolinians who will be hurt by the Big Beautiful Bonus for Billionaires Bill. Since ordinary people don’t seem to matter to you or any Republican as much as King Trump’s approval, I’ll encourage you to use your imagination on what happens if you continue your failure to support and defend the Constitution against its domestic enemies.

If the Senate passes the Big Bill down to the letter, our courts will be hamstrung by the pro-dictator bonus of shielding King Trump and his loyal subjects from contempt of court consequences. Are you counting on Trump remaining in office as a dictator, ending free and fair elections? Have you embraced that yet, or are you still thinking of launching a re-election campaign? Do you think emulating Mike Johnson’s level of sycophancy toward Trump will protect you? If you hold any illusions about elections, the opposing TV ads will write themselves.

• School children will pass out in class due to hunger.
• A broad swath of Americans will lose housing.
• People will suffer and die of preventable illnesses in record numbers.
• Gun violence will rise.

Yes, these things happen now, but when it increases and affects every MAGA family personally, what will the heavily armed, poorly educated “base” do?

Do you want to create a country where only the top 1% thrive by employing private security and living behind fortifications?

Since you and the rest of the Republican-controlled House and Senate are doing nothing to stop the oligarchs and Christofascists from squeezing every last dollar out of ordinary Americans, they will be left with few choices. Some will die quietly of hunger and lack of medical care. More farmers will die by suicide. People will take out their frustrations with random violence. A handful will make dramatic exits, such as self-immolation. Climate change will literally turn up the heat on this pressure cooker. Our society, already at each other’s throats, will become more deadly.

For any staffers who think I am personally threatening anyone, that is false. I am sharing my alarm that unless Republicans stop enabling the destruction of Americans’ lives, awful things will happen. Do YOU need to wait until they happen to your family and friends before you will DO SOMETHING?
