What are you up to?
What are you and your circle doing to lift up, support, inform your community and/or to fight back against the criminal enterprise squatting on our federal government? Please share with us so we can include that in future newsletters. Sometimes knowing of the littlest things being done by your neighbors can help lighten the load someone may be carrying or give others the courage or push to do something themselves. Often, knowing you’re not the only one that cares about a particular issue is enough to move someone to act. Let us also know if you’d like your name shared.

De-Flocking Yancey – June 8
We’ve spoken to the Mitchell commissioners. Now it’s time to talk to Yancey. At the next Yancey Commissioners meeting at 6:30pm on June 8 we plan on presenting signed petitions and speaking during the citizen input period about the need for more transparency regarding the use of Flock cameras in Yancey. If you can make it out to show support for this effort, please do.
Our “FLOCK Cameras in Yancey County” petition needs all the signatures we can get. If you live in Yancey, do business in Yancey or just drive through Yancey, you may be affected by Flock recording your comings and goings.
Look for the petitions at local businesses around Burnsville or download the pdf (link below) and send your signature page to us. You can also print out a copy of a petition for your friends to sign, and then return. Contact: [email protected]
Go here to see the petition and background material, including several videos that go into great detail on the problems with Flock.
Meeting location: 110 Town Square, Burnsville, NC 28714 [map link]

July 4 (on the 3rd) PARADE! Calling all Mountain Indivisibles and friends!
MI will have a large float in the “250th National Birthday Parade” in Spruce Pine on July 3rd. Time to be determined, but will be late afternoon, approximately 4-6 or 5-7.
The float will carry the oh-so-talented Samba Appalachia drummers. Yippee!!
We want y’all to come dance with the band and/or hand out candy to kiddos!
Please…no political signs for this one!!! No exceptions unless your dog has a “dogs for democracy” vest! (I’m looking at you, Rocky and Luna!)
This is a spread-good-cheer-and-love event (and to show folks how adorable we are.) Bring your friendly dogs! Dress yourself (or pooch) in red, white and blue! If you have Mountain Indivisible merch, wear that too. But definitely bring your dancing shoes!
Must be able to be on your feet for about 2 hours, but if you need a rest, (or to ride the whole time,) that can be accommodated in the bed of the pick-up.
Be there or be square!
